I haven’t posted much personal art in recent years because I have channeled my creative energy towards teaching. I have spent the last seven years teaching art at Daniel Webster High School. It has been a wonderful experience. It has also been an educational experience for myself just as much as for my students. Teaching forced me to get out of my comfort zone with art mediums. It also taught me that I love doing collaborative/community art projects.
The pictures in this post are some of the collaborative projects done with students at Daniel Webster High School during my time there. The pianos were painted by my students and were featured in Play Me Tulsa (a public street piano program). The butterfly mural was also a collaborative project done by students.
